Our Purpose and Values
Brunswick Lacrosse aims to promote and develop players, coaches and volunteers whilst striving for excellence within the sport of lacrosse and by following the rules and by laws set out by Lacrosse Victoria Association Incorporated.
We encourage children and adults to be part of a sporting community through playing lacrosse. We are committed to engaging with local schools and the community to expand the club locally. We strive to create an environment that allows players to reach their playing potential and to have fun.
Our History
Brunswick Lacrosse Club began as Moreland Lacrosse in 1994 by local residents of nearby Albert Street. It started as a junior team for children under 11 years by merging of teams from Moreland Primary School and Alphington Grammar School.
The club’s first game was at Fleming Park and as the club grew through the junior and senior grades it moved to Brearley Reserve and Clifton Park. The club returned home to Fleming Park, with a strong community energy in 2011. In 2025 the club has grown to 7 teams including women, men, girls and boys. We also welcome any gender diverse people to play in a team that feels most comfortable for them.
Brunswick Lacrosse club's clubhouse and change rooms have recently been upgraded with excellent new facilities, providing a modern and welcoming space for all members. We continue to focus on making our club a community that we can all be proud of.
